Fact of the Day: President Dr. Robotnik

Sonic's main villian has an interesting origin. While Sega was looking for a new mascot someone had suggest a Theodore Roosevelt-like character in pajamas. Even though Sonic became the new mascot, the idea carried on. Now I can't unsee it.

Things I Like: Billy Hatcher and the Giant Egg

It's been quite some time since I rented this game, but I had a pretty good time. It was really Sonic Team's only non-Sonic game in awhile. It was also released on Windows and Mac in Europe. It was kinda like the Sonic Adventure games, but a lot slower in pace, and an emphasis on taking care your egg than running full speed. The egg thing got a little hard to manage after awhile, but it's a

Fact of the Day: Sonic The Rabbit?

While Sonic became Sega's much needed answer to Mario, the search for a mascot was a hard one. As they were thinking up animals to make into a game, Sonic was almost a rabbit. That might be a little hard to imagine, but the idea carried more than a decade later with the character Cream the Rabbit.

This was merely a collection of MegaMan 1, 2, and 3

Fact of the Day: Sega Channel

While we can download games on nearly every gaming platform these days, it's not exactly a new idea. One of the most notable online download services from the olden days was Sega Channel. It used an internet connection to play games. Some of the games on the service never made out in American in cartridge form. Some of them were good notable games too like Pulseman. Alien Soldier, a cult-favorite

Fact of the Day: Sonic Hated Sega Saturn

Do you remember Sonic X-treme? Well of course you don't because it never came out. That's right, it was suppose to be Sega's big Sonic game for their new console. It started out as a 2.5D Sonic platformer. But it eventually went to a more free-3D style like the Sonic Adventure games. After failed development issues, Sega canned X-treme. Thus making Sonic's only appearance on the system in just
