Need a perfect Halloween movie? Look none other than The Wicker Man. Not the remake but the 1973 British original. It's not scary in the traditional sense, there's not really any blood or gore, but it does seem more Stephen King than Wes Craven. The movie stars a police officer looking for a missing girl. He goes to a remote Scottish island in search for her. It's so remote that he's the only

Things I Like: Austin Powers: The Spy Who Shagged Me
Even though the first film was really good, I liked the 2nd film the best out of all the 3. I also liked the new girl Felicity a lot. Mini-Me was also awesome. I also liked the showdown on the moon.

Things I Like: Austin Powers: International Man of Mystery
I've seen all 3 movies, and the first one is still a classic. I loved the character of Austin Powers. Goofy, strange, and yet so charming. Vanessa was pretty cool too. I liked her Anti-Austin stint for awhile until he won her over. Dr. Evil was the best.

Things I Like: Sudden Impact (1983 Film)
I really liked Sudden Impact, I thought it was a tad better than the 3rd film. It was also the movie that coined the phrase "Go ahead! Make my day!"The plot was bit more interesting than just thugs and killers. There was a anti-hero named Jennifer Spencer who took revenge on those who wronged her, and for good reason. There was also an awesome shootout scene. Stuff goes down at the carnival.

Things I Like: MegaMan X3
Like the 2nd game, my memory is a bit hazy with this one, but I thought it was a decent adventure. Though I admit the same old game-play was getting a bit too tiring. Though you could play as Zero this time around. Pretty sweet.

Things I Like: MegaMan X2
I had recently played it more on the Megaman X Collection on Gamecube than as a kid on SNES. If I ever had the chance to play it back then. I don't remember too much about the game besides it being the first sequel in the X series. But I knew I had a decent time with the game. A bit too similar to it's predecessor and sadly not as good. Still a lot better than some of the games that followed it.

Things I Like: The Simpsons: Hit and Run
I remember this game well because this was Grand Theft Auto but Simpsons style. Which I wanted to play pretty bad since I didn't have a PS2 at the time. It sucked being a poor kid. Hit and Run is pretty much GTA without the guns or the violence. It's really tame in comparison. You can take practically any vehicle for your own and use it during missions. It also has plenty of the humor from the

Things I Like: Billy Hatcher and the Giant Egg
It's been quite some time since I rented this game, but I had a pretty good time. It was really Sonic Team's only non-Sonic game in awhile. It was also released on Windows and Mac in Europe. It was kinda like the Sonic Adventure games, but a lot slower in pace, and an emphasis on taking care your egg than running full speed. The egg thing got a little hard to manage after awhile, but it's a

Things I Like: Ice Age (2002 Film)
It's been awhile since I saw it, but I remember it being fairly decent. I don't remember too much about it, except the pre-historic animals trying to reunited the Eskimo baby with his father. I also remember Scrat. Him and that blasted acorn. It wasn't exactly Pixar quality, but it's a decent pick for kids and adults.

Things I Like: Kill Bill Vol. 2
Luckily when TBS was showing this on TV for the first time, they did show both films. I did buy both later on DVD, but at least I didn't have to wait. It really is one big movie but it is a bit different from the first film. Less Japan, more weirdness. I liked the tale of her master Pai Mei. Budd was a bit lame.Elle Driver's fight was decent. I felt bad for her at the end though. I thought

Things I Like: Kill Bill Vol. 1
This was really the first Quentin Tarantino film I've ever seen. Actually saw it on TBS when it first came out on TV. The movie was samurai movie meets Western weirdness all in one. The fights were awesome, the story was pretty sweet, and you really didn't know what to expect next. I thought Go-Go Yubari was a pretty awesome villain. O-Ren Ishii was also a great fighter. Gave her a better battle

Things I Like: The Spirit (2008 Film)
Never saw Sin City but that is what I thought of when I saw the movie cover and trailers. Same guys that made Sin City also made this, so there's that. This movie is based on the comic series of the same name. But nobody read that, so let's pretend it's an original idea. The Spirit is a superhero raised from the dead, and looks smashing for a zombie. Honestly the movie was a bit forgettable. I do

Things I Like: Donkey Konga
This was actually one of my first music games. It hit gamers a wee bit before Guitar Hero and Rock Band stole the show. Donkey Konga used a bongo drum as it's gimmick in the music genre of games. I actually enjoyed this device more than most others. It was fun and simple, just like how it should be. Not five fingers on six keys while hitting another key with the other hand. It's a shame the

Things I Like: Matilda (1996 Film)
Matilda was a pretty good movie, didn't know it was based on a novel wrote by the same guy who did Willy Wonka back then.Danny DeVito played a great role as Matilda's dad. Her whole family are a bunch of jerks, and they all hate her for being smarter than them. Oh and she's got magical powers too. The principal was evil in human form. And Miss Honey was awesome. Such a sweet woman.

Things I Like: The Flintstones (1994 film)
I really liked this movie when I was a kid. They did a great job recreating the classic cartoon series. John Goodman made a perfect Fred Flintstone and everyone else fit pretty well too. The got the feel of the show down packed to a fine toothed comb. I remember the boss guy being really evil. And Halle Berry makes a cameo as his partner in crime. Fred lets her go because she's attractive.

Things I Like: Big (1988 Film)
Haven't seen this movie in a long time, but it's one of Tom Hank's best. Basically the plot of the movie is that he was a kid that got magically turned into an adult. Which must have been the most scary and awesome thing ever. The dancing keyboard scene was classic.

Things I Like: The Producers (2005 Film)
I saw this before I saw the original, and I've never seen the hit play for which this is based on. Yeah it's a movie based on a play based on movie about a play. Wrap that around your head a little. Even though it's not as good as the original, I liked it. I thought Nathan Lane was a decent replacement as Max, and I didn't really like Matthew Broderick as Leo.The only character I thought improved

Things I Like: Pineapple
The best fruit ever? I think so. I wish I could grow my own pineapple tree but it looks hard and I don't think I live in a hot enough location. But seriously though, screw that pineapple in a can stuff. That's dead pineapple. It's so dried up and nasty that it has disgraced it's former self. This is what I'm talking about. A fresh ripe pineapple cut at perfection. Though you better have a good

Things I Like: Dance Dance Revolution: Mario Mix
Before Mario got his own DDR game, I had only briefly played the arcade ones. I didn't have a PS2 at the time, so my choices were pretty limited when it came to music games.Luckily Nintendo and Konami were smart enough to make a dance mat for the game. It sounds like a basic idea that's required but I've seen dumber things done by video game developers than leaving out a dance mat for a dancing

Things I Like: Full House
Despite some hate from others about this show, I loved it. It was a part of my childhood. Danny Tanner was the nicest dad ever. Like really nice, his excuses for punishments were pathetic. This character led Bob Saget later in life to become the rudest comedian in history.Uncle Jesse was pretty cool. His wife was hot. Joey Gladstone was a goofball, but I liked him. DJ was pretty much worthless
